The White Martians themselves were a scheming race with godlike delusions, but no more immortal, advanced or formidable than the Red Martians.Here, he's just as cruel, but much more active and in much better shape. In the novel, Tal Hajus is a lazy Villainous Glutton who pretty much never moves from the throne he's parked himself on.
